What is the pete and larry’s?
The Pete and Larry’s Scramble is being held again in memory of Larry Lucero who passed away in March of 2024 after nearly six decades of community service. Previously the Pete and Larry’s was held annually at the end of every summer for almost 20 years.
Larry was a proud graduate of Montana State University where he studied to be a high school history teacher while playing basketball for the Bobcats.
Larry graduated from MSU in 1966 and began teaching in Great Falls. Larry loved teaching World History and Anthropology. He spent nearly 50 years on the sidelines coaching basketball at CMR, Great Falls High, Choteau, and at the College of Great Falls.
The Pete and Larry’s Scramble aims to be the main fundraiser to provide scholarships for students who are going to school to pursue a career in eduction or history.
We hope that you will join us by playing in our tournament, donating, or being a sponsor of the Pete and Larry’s!
